You’ve taken the leap. You’ve committed to prioritizing your recovery—and now it’s time for your first session at Guerrilla Performance & Recovery. Whether you're a high-performing athlete or someone returning to fitness after a break, our recovery sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are.
If you're feeling unsure or even a little nervous, that’s totally normal. This quick guide will walk you through what to expect during your first visit and how it’ll help you move better, feel better, and perform at your best.
Your session begins with a conversation—not a treatment. We’ll ask questions about your lifestyle, recent training, past injuries, and current discomforts. This isn’t a box-checking formality—it’s the foundation for crafting a recovery experience that works for your body.
We believe no two recovery sessions should look the same because no two bodies are the same.
Before we touch any tools or mats, we’ll walk you through a quick mobility assessment. This gives us insights into how your body moves and what areas need attention. You might be surprised to find that the areas that hurt aren’t always the root cause—tight hips can lead to back pain, poor ankle mobility can affect your squats, and so on.
This step helps us map out your recovery flow.
Once we understand what your body needs, we move into hands-on recovery techniques, which may include:
It’s not just passive relaxation—it’s active restoration that primes your body for better performance.
After your session, we’ll debrief you. You’ll receive personalized movement or mobility drills to practice at home or before your workouts. These aren't homework for homework’s sake—they’re the key to reinforcing what we worked on and keeping your body aligned and ready for whatever comes next.
Recovery isn’t a magic wand—it’s a process. One session will make a difference, but consistent recovery work builds long-term results. That’s why we encourage booking follow-ups based on your training demands, performance goals, and how your body responds.
At Guerrilla, we’re here to help you feel good while getting better.
